We like lines. We make lines because they're truthful. No matter how much they meander, they eventually arrive at a point. Lines connect and separate. They can be toed or crossed. They cannot be fudged.

Rich writes lots of lines -- sometimes funny, sometimes sad -- and when he makes other people say them while he holds a camera, it's a film. Kathryn draws lots of lines -- sometimes calm, sometimes crazy -- and when she draws them for you, it's illustration, and when she draws them for herself, it's art.
