My stylized, stylish and carefully observed sketches of New York City landmarks, printed entirely by hand in water-based colors on recycled cardstock. Such a cool idea for a gift -- personal and one of a kind!
These unusual silkscreen prints remind me of time-lapse photography, where the sky and sea seem to rush past while constructed objects hold still.
I love my obsessive, improvisational printmaking method: I work with acrylic paint instead of ink, applying colors directly to the stencil, creating swirly textures. Each one comes out differently and every print is an original piece of art.
This one is #41 from an edition of 60 monoprints and features shades of cool water and soft textures like rain and mist contrasted against the crisp blue lines of my drawings.
